Storable: switching functions

With the AMP1, only switching functions can be saved in presets, namely:

  • Channel selection (CLEAN, VINTAGE, CLASSIC, MODERN)
  • BOOST on/off
  • REVERB on/off
  • FX LOOP on/off (AMP1 Mercury Edition and AMP1 Iridium Edition only)

Thomas Blug shows you how to do this in this video:

Delete

More Info: with the help of the REMOTE1 (or via MIDI), values can also be stored for some functions such as gain or volume - see more info on this here: Which parameters can be stored with the REMOTE1 - and which can not? ‍

Not storable

The following parameters can not be saved:

  • The 3-band tone controls (BASS, MID, TREBLE)
  • The OVERDRIVE MASTER control
  • The REVERB knob
  • The MASTER control
  • The Custom Controls on the side of the AMP1 (volume and tone controls, noise gate, FX Loop)
Delete

Background Information: the channels of the AMP1 are coordinated in such a way that they deliver a similar frequency spectrum and can therefore share a common 3-band tone control. The sounds of different channels always fit together, and the guitar maintains its "frequency" place in interaction with other instruments in the band and is always "present" during sound changes.

More information on the interaction of the 3-band EQ and the AMP1's Custom Controls can be found here: Custom Controls and 3-Band Equalization - Tips on Handling
