For a Ritchie Blackmore sound we recommend the Vintage channel of the AMP1 Mercury Edition. You'll get the best results with an S-style guitar, but it's possible to get ballpark tones with other guitar types, too. Depending on your guitar and pickup type, you may have to make a few compromises and tweaks to your settings:

Underestimated component: the speaker cabinet!
It's important to note that your amplifier is only one part of your overall guitar sound. The speaker you use has an equally big impact on the sound. Because of this, the settings shown above may have to be adjusted depending on the kind of loudspeaker you're using in your cabinet/IR/plugin.
