The preamp combines the smooth, creamy saturation of a Soldano-style circuit with an aggressive, razor-sharp hard clipping stage. This creates a rich, harmonically dense distortion that still cuts through any mix.

Thanks to gain stacking, the 5165 delivers massive saturation while maintaining exceptional tightness—especially in the low end. Even at medium gain settings, notes remain articulate and controlled. GAIN is ranging from tight, punchy crunch with excellent clarity at lower settings to full saturation with endless sustain at higher settings.

Power Amp Shaping

The integrated Resonance and Presence controls allow you to fine-tune the low-end punch and high-end bite. This lets you “open up” the sound, making it feel wider, more dynamic, and perfectly tailored to your playing style.
