Why doesn't the AMP1 Iridium Edition have resonance and presence controls?
To get the ultimate punch and attack from the low-end, many tube amplifiers have, in addition to bass, mids and treble, a punch or resonance control for the push and a presence control for the bite.

The punch operates in the current feedback loop and reacts to both the speaker and the power amp. These two controls are essential for classic tube amplifiers to achieve a good metal or hard rock sound.
Why doesn't AMP1 Iridium Edition have these controls?
We used the same technology for the low-end and combined this current feedback with our bass control, so we only need one bass control. This control delivers exactly what you want: a crisp, punchy bass. Turn up as much bass as your sound needs.

We use the same technique with lots of attack, bite and sparkle in presence - the highs!
