It depends...

Whether the Looper Kit is switched before the AMP1 or in the FX loop of the AMP1 depends on the type of effects that are integrated into the loops of the Looper Kit. What you should know is that the four loops of the Looper Kit are firmly soldered, and can therefore only be positioned in their entirety in front of the AMP1 or in its FX loop.

What is therefore not possible is a kind of 4-cable method in which some of the looped-in effects are switched in front of the amp and some in the loop-in path of the amp.

Therefore, only pedals should be used in the loops of the Looper Kit that are to be placed in front of the AMP1 (e.g. boosters, overdrives, compressors, etc.) or only those that belong in the FX loop of the amp, such as reverb, delay or modulation effects such as chorus or flanger. Depending on the effect combination, the Looper Kit is then switched in its entirety in front of the amp or in its FX loop:

Greatest possible flexibility in Preset Mode

The whole point of the Looper Kit is to integrate individual effects pedals into a preset and thus to be able to switch several effects on and off at the same time for each preset. The FX loop of the AMP1 can be activated and deactivated using the REMOTE1, even without a Looper Kit. This switching status (on / off) can be saved for each preset. The switchable FX loop of the AMP1 provides a way to switch pedals on and off in the loop without having to activate or deactivate the pedals yourself, even without the Looper Kit. Rather, the pedals remain permanently activated and are switched into the signal path or removed from the signal path by activating or deactivating the FX loop.

The greater flexibility is obtained (at least depending on the composition of the effects) if the Looper Kit is switched in front of the AMP1, because in this way - in addition to the FX loop, which is switchable anyway - you can also make the pre-effects looped in the Looper Kit switchable and use them together, or activate or deactivate them individually for each preset.

In this way, you can place effects in front of the amp, put others in the FX loop, and then switch them on and off at the push of a button. You can find out exactly how this works here: Activate advance effects in front of the AMP1 and loop effects in the FX loop of the AMP1 at the same time? ‍

A pure structure and high quality components

By the way: the sound-relevant components such as cables and relays (e.g. gold contact relays from Japan) used in the Looper Kit are of very high quality, so that sensitive, high-impedance signals in front of the input of the AMP1 can be integrated into your setup with maximum quality. As all tonal purists would want, inactive loops are completely removed from the signal path by relays, which minimizes sound losses.
