"The most powerful guitar amp system ever"
With this amp, I wish you many years of incredible tones and joyous musical inspiration. Your AMPX might be new for you, but for me, and for BluGuitar, it’s the end of a long road – and a dream of mine that has been over 30 years in the making!
Many years ago, as a young professional session and studio guitarist, I had the dream of the perfect guitar amplifier: a tube amp you could carry with you in one hand, and that you could plug in to any studio device or PA for shows without any hassle. Oh, and of course it would have to sound great for any kind of music too! Hey, why not dream big? ;)
Over the years, I’ve been lucky enough to be able to design and create amplifiers and pedals that have paved the way for AMPX. If you chart my past, you’ll see that steadily the products I’ve worked on have come closer and closer to this goal.
With the AMP1, we realized my dream of creating a 4-channel, 100-watt boutique tube amp that either fits in your gig bag or on your pedalboard. But I wanted to take my dream to the next level: I wanted my entire amp and FX collection with me always, ready to use... and to make that system fully programmable.
So, I set out to create an analog amplifier system that’s able to create – or recreate – the sound of any amp, and any effect. This would mean my whole pedalboard is inside my amp too, plus stereo effects, and the best speaker emulations for going direct.
Now, the future is finally here: and it’s called AMPX. With this amplifier, you literally have no limitations when it comes to guitar tones and creating music. AMPX holds the key to the ultimate creativity, and the true beauty of it is that it will grow with you, as we create more amps, effects and sounds you can use with it.
So, go forth and make music! I can’t wait to hear what you get up to with AMPX!
