The AMP1 is constructed like a classic amplifier and has a mono power amplifier. For stereo operation, however, you can simply combine two AMP1s, each with its own box. With the help of REMOTE1 and MIDI1, both amps can be switched at the same time:
The REMOTE1 is normally connected to the first AMP1 via the foot switch connection. The second AMP1 is connected via the MIDI OUT of the REMOTE1 with the help of the MIDI1 adapter. Every switching function of the REMOTE1 now affects both AMP1s.
Since the output stage changes its sound with the channels, the second AMP1 should be programmed via MIDI-LEARN in such a way that the same channels are always active on both AMP1s.
Good to know
For this setup to work as desired, the amp connected to the REMOTE1 via MIDI must be turned on first:
Power is supplied to the REMOTE1 via the AMP1 connected to the jack plug. The moment this AMP1 is switched on and thus also supplies power to the REMOTE1, the REMOTE1 sends a booting command via all ports (quasi the "Hello, I am the REMOTE1" signal). The AMP1 connected via MIDI needs this signal to be able to do something with the commands that the REMOTE1 subsequently sends via the MIDI OUT jack.
If the "MIDI Amp" is switched on second, this info is missing and the AMP1 cannot do anything with the commands of the REMOTE1.
